Over the past few days, Sri Lanka has faced severe weather in several parts of the country, and like many, we are saddened and shocked by the images and stories coming from the affected regions. We’ve been incredibly touched by the messages we’ve received from current and past guests checking in on our wellbeing — it means more than you know.
Here in Ahangama, and across most of the south, daily life has remained largely unaffected. Roads are open, transfers between the airport and the south have been running smoothly, and guests have been coming and going as normal. Restaurants, beaches and local activities remain open, and the coastline has stayed safe and accessible.
During our pool party this Saturday, we took the opportunity to support those impacted elsewhere in the country. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we’ve collected funds now going directly towards dry rations, bed linen and essential medication for flood-affected areas.
We also understand that news and social media can sometimes paint a confusing picture in moments like these. If you’re considering cancelling an upcoming stay because of information you’ve seen online, we kindly encourage you to double check with your travel insurance provider first. We remain fully operational and, as per our policy, are unable to offer refunds outside of the free cancellation window. We hope this helps you make the best decision for your travel plans with clarity and peace of mind.
We’ll continue to share updates and keep those affected across the country in our thoughts.
